Pavilion dw-3xxx, LAPTOP-GUT14LK5 Model name
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

BRAND NEW 15 in Pavilion. When I awaken it from sleep mode, it WILL NOT RECONNECT to my Wifi. First I thought it was the router/modem which is running 1 gb, so I reset that. No change. Finally I restarted my laptop and then it connected. I don't believe that it did this at first; I've only had this laptop for 2 wks. I've made NO CHANGES to the networking properties. Of course, resetting the machine as HP told me to do for my old laptop 2 yrs ago is NOT an option- I did it at their request 4 times and  won't bend to apathetic/unqualified tier 1 tech support again. Here's my network settings, if this will help;

SSID: xxxx-5G
Protocol: Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)
Security type: WPA2-Personal
Network band: 5 GHz
Network channel: 161
Link speed (Receive/Transmit): 433/433 (Mbps)
Link-local IPv6 address: fe80::91d3:753e:52f:69a4%18
IPv4 address: 192.168.0.21
IPv4 DNS servers: 192.168.0.1
205.171.3.26
Manufacturer: Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
Description: Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter
Driver version: 2024.0.10.220
Physical address (MAC): 00-E9-3A-0C-CA-29

HELP!!! If you can help me with this I'll be your friend for life.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if updating the wifi driver to a newer version resolves the problem.

Restart the PC after installing the driver.
