Hello people,

 

Just in case anyone is still having issues with this - I've had 2 or 3 HP products that had this problem (used to drive me completely insane).  With all mine, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver worked perfectly - never had another issue after that.

Just remember to download the driver onto a USB BEFORE you uninstall the one on your laptop (that is of course if you can get online long enough to download it!!).  Depending on what product you have will determine which driver you need to get your hands on but it's an easy-peasy lemon squeezy 2 minute job that will solve this problem for good - it did with all mine anyway.

This worked, uninstalled origina wireless driver and downloaded an updated one to a flash drive on another computer, installed it from flash drive to my daughters stream 13. Internets working again thank you.

I've solved this issue! are you still having difficulty with this issue? I was told my customer support I had to send in my hardware to possibly be serviced because tech support couldn't assist me in any way whatsoever.

Ok so right click wireless icon in corner right click open internet and network settings. Click change adapter options under change settings.

Right-click wifi go to properties.

Click configure 

Click advanced

Go all the way down to wireless mode

Change to 802.11 bg

Hit ok
