HP Stream 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

It is 2022 and I am sick and tired of this laptop.
------------
I bought myself an HP Stream laptop, near the end of 2019. From the get-go, as soon as I unboxed it, I noticed it was really slow. But, as my family was nearby and they contributed to helping me buy it, I didn't say anything because I wanted to be respectful.

I have been ready forum articles with people having the same issue and I can 100% relate to them. I was impressed with the price which made me buy the computer but it is SO slow. My previous laptop, a Toshiba from 2012 is much faster than this... which has made me think about going back to my old laptop which has been sitting in the drawer. I did not expect to see this computer be so slow, even my father agreed that it is VERY low-end, something that my grandmother would buy to complete basic tasks such as an online food shopping order.

I am struggling to complete work, everything is too slow. I cannot surf the web without it refusing to load or freeze and being incredibly slow. It's like I'm trying to be really productive but this piece of crap wants to be so slow. Before anyone comments on this and tells me to uninstall apps or whatever. I have, I only have the apps I need and to try and resolve this, all my documents are on a USB drive.

I am purely disappointed in my purchase, I do not think that the store would let me return it as it has been over 30 days which puts me in a limited situation. Although it is not my priority in my spare time I cannot do lightweight gaming nor stream any videos. The minimum YouTube will let me stream on this is 360p, at 720p the video is really choppy and the picture cannot keep up with the sound audio and it refuses to play in full HD.

I am going to try to downgrade to Windows 7 which is a lighter operating system than Windows 10 (although it may not be recommended)
