I don't know the product number or serial number; the label on the bottom is rubbed out and even before it rubbed out the text was so tiny I couldn't read it. I know the OS is Microsoft Windows 10 but don't know if it's 32-bit or 64-bit. Sorry, but I don't know enough about computers to figure these things out.
My HP stream is stuck in airplane mode and is greyed out in the settings so I can't turn it off. Can someone please help even with my limited information?
Thank you.

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer given the information you posted, is that most of the newer HP notebooks have an F12 key with an airplane icon on it.
You press that F12 key to turn the airplane mode on or off.
So, if it is off, press the F12 key, and see if the wifi turns on again.

Hi Paul and thank you for replying! I've tried the F12 key and it's not turning off airplane mode. I'm sorry I didn't provide too many details. Maybe the following will help:
Initially, the wifi icon on the right side of the taskbar was missing. So, I clicked in Cortana's search box on the left side and typed settings. I, then, went to Network & Internet settings. Network status shows:
- solid line, dotted line, solid line (can't figure how to type that)
- triangle w/an exclamation point and troubleshoot which opens Windows Network Diagnostics but couldn't identify the problem.
- Show available networks that opens up as the menu I should be able to get from the taskbar if the icon was there but the only choice is airplane mode. Nothing changes when I click on that.
Airplane Mode shows a radio button that is on but it is greyed out so I can't click on that.
I did bring it to a computer repair store locally (they do HP Warranty repair work). They replaced a part they thought was the problem but nothing changed. The thing is that now the warranty expired so I don't know if HP will still fix it.
Does any of the above help in figuring this out? If you need other info, please let me know what and where to find it and I will try to get it. Again, thanks!

You're very welcome.
It sounds to me like the wifi adapter has died on you.
Go to the device manager, see if there is a Network Adapters device manager category.
There should be if the wifi adapter is working and the driver is installed.
If there is no network adapters device manager category, then the wifi adapter has failed and needs to be replaced.
If there is a network adapters device manager category, there should be a name and model number of the wifi adapter listed there.
If your notebook has an ethernet port, then there will also be a Realtek ethernet adapter listed there.
