Product: HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Notebook PC (1H9X5AV)

The installed driver set in sp142712, if installed before attachment to the ThunderBolt3 G4 Docking Station doesn't "Plug and Play" and activate leaving the device off wired network.

Why must this driver be installed only when the Dock is attached in order to work properly?

Is there a "pre-activation" which can be deployed ?
