Hi @Aryan910_910

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are experiencing significantly slower Wi-Fi speeds on your HP Victus 16-s0000 laptop compared to your other devices. Since your iPad and other devices are achieving speeds above 100 Mbps while the laptop is limited to approximately 1–5 Mbps for both download and upload, the issue may be related to the wireless adapter settings, drivers, or network configuration rather than malware.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Test on a different network
    • Connect the laptop to another Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot.
    • Check whether the slow speed issue persists.
  2. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics for the wireless adapter
    • Turn off the laptop.
    • Turn it back on and repeatedly press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
    • Run the Wireless Module Test and note any Failure ID displayed.
  3. Update the Wi-Fi driver
    • Open Device Manager.
    • Expand Network adapters and identify the installed wireless adapter (for example, Realtek or MediaTek).
    • Visit the HP support website for the Victus 16-s0000 (76T56AV) and install the latest wireless driver available for your model.
    • Restart the laptop after installation.
  4. Reset the network settings
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset.
    • Select Reset now and restart the computer.
  5. Disable power-saving settings for the Wi-Fi adapter
    • Open Device Manager > Network adapters.
    • Right-click the wireless adapter and select Properties.
    • Under the Power Management tab, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    • Click OK.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
