Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP wireless mouse and when I try to scroll, sometimes it will jump around. If I scroll up, it will scroll down and vice versa or sometimes it won't scroll at all. I've seen this question posted here before, but a lot of people assume the person asking the question is clicking on the scroll wheel and using autoscroll, that is not my issue. I've tried cleaning the scroll wheel, I've checked my drivers for updates, I've checked my laptop for updates, I've changed the batteries (multiple times), I've run diagnostics on it, and I've tried switching usb drives for my wireless mouse connector. I've tried looking for the drivers on the HP website, but the highest operating system the seem to support is Windows 10 and I have 11. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
