Linux

Since this notebook is old and has been replaced by HP newer product, I wanted to change the OS on it to Linux Mint v20.2.  So I loaded it and the reformat to Linux went fine and the new LM v20.2 is working just as fine.  EXCEPT, for one major hick-up, the wireless card in the HP notebook is TURNED-OFF (light is ON).  And there is NO WAY in Linux to command the card to TURN-ON.

So this cry for help.  Probably nothing at all wrong with the wireless device, just no software way to turn-on the card and or both reload the drivers for Linux OS operation.  Questions..

1.  What to do to get the WiFi hardware to turn-on, and see the drivers to enable WiFi operation.  It did work under Win 8 & 10.

2.  I have a Broadcom Radio Module (BCM4352HMB device and what LINUX process can I use to manually get this Broadcom device to turn-on and start squaking to my Comcast Infinity box/

Please help!!!!

Thanks in advance.. Roy [Personal Information Removed]

Hi:

I suggest that you post your question on the LInux mint networking forum.

I don't know of anyone on this forum that could help you get the Broadcom wifi card to work on Linux.

No doubt someone on the Linux forum knows what you need to do, since that model wifi card has been around for quite a while.
