I’m having an intermittent problem with my Broadcom BCM94313HMGB WiFi adapter in my older HP Pavilion dv6t-c600 laptop.  I’d like to replace it with some other vendor’s adapter – probably an Intel card but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  What vendor/card/model number would be compatible with my machine or the BCM94313HMGB card?

Thanks,

Steve K.

What is your machine actually ? HP Pavilion dv6t-c600 is not the right one. I think it is an HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00.

If yes, it is a 12 years old machine and with the whitelist the chance to upgrade to newer wifi card is none. You can use USB adapter such as

       https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/asus-ac1200-nano-dual-band-usb-wi-fi-adapter    (many brands around, cheaper)

You can see much faster  when using it.

Yes, you are correct with my model # dv6t-c600 and it is quite old.   So there are no internal WiFi/BT adapters available for replacement?  That's too bad.  Maybe I could find a used one that would work.  Do you know of any older cards that I may consider?

I have been using an external USB  WiFi/BT adapter which works fine.  My issue is I am using this machine as part of an audio workstation recording studio.  I need numerous USB ports.   I have tried/connected numerous external USB hubs both powered and unpowered - some work OK others not at all.  I have a couple webcams connected as well as two audio interface devices which do not function perfectly when running through a hub but much better when connected directly to the laptop.  Replacing the internal WiFi adapter frees up one USB port which helps.

Thanks for you time and input - much appreciated.
