How do I use my HP 15 without internet??!!

I recently purchased an HP 15 computer for writing. I did research, and found it to be everything I needed. After the purchase, I have not been able to use this computer AT ALL without internet access, which was the main reason for buying this computer. There is no task bar, there is only a profile you have to log into in order to even open the computer and use it. Very frustrating. How may I use my computer without ANY internet access???
