@Dias3, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
You're right — your Local Area Connection 10* (Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter) is showing "No network access", which is why your hotspot isn't providing internet to your phone.
Here's a breakdown of what's likely happening and how to fix it:
Your laptop's hotspot is enabled (virtual adapter is active), but:
It doesn’t have a shared internet connection.
Therefore, it's broadcasting the hotspot, but devices connected to it can't access the internet.
✅ Fix: Share Internet Connection with the Hotspot Adapter
Let’s walk through setting up Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) properly:
Open Network Connections
You're already there (screenshot), but just in case:
- Press Windows + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter.
Find Your Main Internet Adapter
- It’s likely named Wi-Fi or Ethernet (depending on how your laptop connects to the internet).
- In your screenshot, it's the Wi-Fi adapter named eir32876976 (MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi).
Enable Internet Connection Sharing
- Right-click your main adapter (Wi-Fi) → Click Properties.
- Go to the Sharing tab.
- Check the box: “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection.”
- Under "Home networking connection", choose Local Area Connection 10* (the virtual adapter).
- Click OK.
Restart Hotspot
Disable and re-enable the mobile hotspot via:
- Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Hotspot.
🔄 Optional: Restart the ICS Service
If it still doesn’t work, restart the Internet Connection Sharing service:
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, press Enter.
- Find Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).
- Right-click → Restart (or Start if it’s stopped).
✅ After This:
- Reconnect your phone or other device to the hotspot.
- You should now have internet access through the shared connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
