Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
You're right — your Local Area Connection 10* (Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter) is showing "No network access", which is why your hotspot isn't providing internet to your phone.

Here's a breakdown of what's likely happening and how to fix it:

Your laptop's hotspot is enabled (virtual adapter is active), but:

It doesn’t have a shared internet connection.

Therefore, it's broadcasting the hotspot, but devices connected to it can't access the internet.

Fix: Share Internet Connection with the Hotspot Adapter

Let’s walk through setting up Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) properly:

Open Network Connections

You're already there (screenshot), but just in case:

  • Press Windows + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter.

Find Your Main Internet Adapter

  • It’s likely named Wi-Fi or Ethernet (depending on how your laptop connects to the internet).
  • In your screenshot, it's the Wi-Fi adapter named eir32876976 (MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi).

Enable Internet Connection Sharing

  1. Right-click your main adapter (Wi-Fi) → Click Properties.
  2. Go to the Sharing tab.
  3. Check the box: “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection.”
  4. Under "Home networking connection", choose Local Area Connection 10* (the virtual adapter).
  5. Click OK.

Restart Hotspot

Disable and re-enable the mobile hotspot via:

  • Settings → Network & InternetMobile Hotspot.

🔄 Optional: Restart the ICS Service

If it still doesn’t work, restart the Internet Connection Sharing service:

  1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, press Enter.
  2. Find Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).
  3. Right-click → Restart (or Start if it’s stopped).

After This:

  • Reconnect your phone or other device to the hotspot.
  • You should now have internet access through the shared connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
