My power and wifi button is damaged (connection with the motherboard is broken as wire is broken). Somehow I managed ti turnon the laptop through power pins on the motherboard but  failed to turn on wifi and  Network assistant says "Disabled" I have tried several ways to turn it on but failed. Resinstaled the driver, resintalled the HP network assisstant but still it is diabled. Is there any allternate method like alternate key on the keyboard or any pin settings on the motherboard which can help turning wifi ON?

Really appreciate quick help.buttons.jpg

As I understand you are having issues with the Wireless network showing disabled on your HP G60 notebook. Don't worry I'll try my best to help you with this,

I reviewed the post and this seems to be a hardware issue with the notebook. I would personally suggest you contact our HP phone support for available service related options. If your product is Out of warranty, please remember to choose the paid options to get the phone number.

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone numberCase number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

Sorry that option did not work. It says could not locate warranty. Can I get HP support to fix this problem?

Hi @alijawahir,

I reviewed the post comprehensively. As  @Jeet_singh is out of office for the day, I am jumping in to assist you here.

I understand that you've tried to contact HP phone support and have not been able to do it because it asks you for your printer's warranty. You've done great here attempting to contact HP. Kudos to you for a job well done. 🙂

I will send you a private message with the HP phone support number. Please keep checking your private message on HP forums. This will work if you live in the United States or Canada.

Also, this printer could be an older computer that has been retired by HP. If it has been retired, then service options may no longer be available as the parts are not manufactured anymore. You will need to contact a local Best-Buy or Staples technician to get the computer serviced.

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care now and have a terrific week ahead. 🙂
