Hello,
I wish to know if my device has got Bluetooth chip on board as none of the available drivers available from the HP Support website seem not to be working.
I want to know what driver to install and perhaps how to get the bluetooth working should it be readily avaible within the device.
Thank you

You're very welcome.
The card you installed is probably too old and the bluetooth is not supported because W10 should have installed a driver for it.
I cannot find any W10 Atheros bluetooth drivers at all for any model Atheros wifi card.
But the good news is that since you installed the card, and the notebook booted up and the card works, you may be able to upgrade the internal card to this model where I know for a fact the wifi and bluetooth work on W10, since I have this card myself...
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
You can find the card on eBay in used but tested and working condition for around $20.00.
Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

You're very welcome.
You don't have to open the PC.
Go to the device manager.
Click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category.
There you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

You're very welcome.
That wouldn't be possible that the hardware would change itself.
The Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter is a single band, non-bluetooth wifi adapter.
Your notebook never had bluetooth.
I didn't realize you posted the serial number for your notebook, which is not permitted according to the forum rules of participation.
Entering the serial number of your notebook in the HP part surfer website confirms that your specific notebook originally came with the Ralink wifi card from HP.

The easiest thing to do to add bluetooth to your notebook, would be to purchase a USB bluetooth adapter.
I use this one for example...

Thank you.
I am sorry about posting sensitive detail about my device. I am not aware.
However, if I am able to change my wifi adapter to another that has bluetooth (removed from another HP laptop), will that work for my PC?
Thank you in earnest

You're very welcome.
It might if it is the same HMC form factor.
Your notebook was made during a transition period where HP was doing away with what was known as BIOS whitelists.
A BIOS whitelist prevented any other wifi card than the one that came with the notebook from working.
So, all I can suggest is to give it a try.
Worse case scenario is the BIOS will report an unsupported wifi card error and won't proceed to boot up any further.
This is what the card you plan on installing in your notebook has to look like as far as its design...It is a picture of the Ralink card your notebook has...

Thank you once more
I have successfully installed another hardware - Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter.
What driver would be best? This seem to have bluetooth.
The bluetooth driver reported this error though: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43).
What is the possible way forward?
Thank you so much for your time.
