I don't know, whether you read the instruction, which you linked, or just typed in the question on google and picked up blind the first link, but this one tells you :

1. start bios

2. look for SMART option

3. disable it

 

wow ... cpt obvious!

This answer is as much usefull as a fridge on northpole.

 

As the question was, HOW to disable SMART, because there is no SMART option in HP BIOS
