EliteBook 1040 g6 have sim card slot and there is no information about how to open how to insert and use sim card facilities.. please help me.

That is an option for Nano SIM card slot (select products only).You can insert your Nano SIM like your phone.
First of all, does your machine have WWAN option ?W/o WWAN option your SIM card is useless. Please check Device Manager to see does it have one of the following entries
- HP IT4210 LTE/HSPA+ M.2 WWAN module with GPS
- Intel XMM™ 7360 LTE Advanced M.2 WWAN module with GPS
