Hello, 

I am facing problem with wifi card for the last 5-6 month. I want to change it. Can you please suggest any wifi card that will work well. Or I can purchase any wifi card I want, anything will work? Does the wifi card related to bluetooth. Please suggest.

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi and BlueTooth 4.0 combination WLAN adapter.

That was probably one of the better HMC form factor wifi cards available at the time.

Did you try updating the wifi driver to the latest version from Intel?

If you have, then the best wifi card you can install in your PC would be the Intel 7260 AC model.

The card is readily available on eBay or Amazon, and won't cost very much.

Search by the HP part number, not by the model number of the wireless card.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I looked into Amazon and eBay, not sure which one to buy as some of those were suggested for other laptops.  So I'm not sure which one will be good for my HP. 

I know it's awkward but can you please help me find one from amazon? 🙂

I live in the USA, so I doubt I can help you.

Just search by the part number.  It doesn't matter what notebooks they list.  You just need that part number.

I'm looking at the ones on the Amazon USA website and they all cost more than the ones on eBay.

If any of these Chinese sellers ships to your country, I would get it on eBay.

Saw customer question asking to know if this will work on Envy 17-j017cl and they told to remove BIOS Whitelist.

Actually, I'll have some advantage of picking up from the US. So I was looking into the Amazon.

You're very welcome.

Your PC should not have a BIOS whitelist so in theory that card should work. 

But I don't like that the part number is not referenced on the card or the advertisement though.

This one costs more but it has the part number, and also indicates it is for HP laptops.
