HI,
I have a laptop Hp laptop 15-bs183nd for 1 month.
I cannot connect my network to 5 ghz network. The router is not the probkem, My 2nd laptop and iphone support 5ghz internet but this cannot found it. I have no idea why.
The laptop has Radio types supported : 802.11n 802.11g 802.11b. I understood that the 802.11n support 2.4 and 5ghz as well. What can be the problem? Thanks.

Hi,
The wifi module in your notebook b/g/n only supports the 2.4Ghz network. To use the 5Ghz network you need an ac module or USB dongle.
Hope it helps,
David

The problem is the Wifi module in the laptop. The b/g/n does not support 5Ghz. However ac/b/g/n supports 5Ghz.
If you look at page 48 of service manual for the series of computers your model is part of. You can see that yours is single channel. There are dual channel wifi modules available. You will need to check if there are two antennas in your PC, as it is difficult to find a dual channel module with single antenna.
You could also use a USB WIFI dongle compatible with dual channel.
