Hi @Raphael1213
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Good evening! It sounds like your Realtek Wi-Fi adapter driver may have been uninstalled or corrupted. Here are some steps you can take to restore it:
1. Check Device Manager
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Look for Network adapters and see if the Realtek Wi-Fi adapter is listed. If it has a yellow exclamation mark or is missing, that’s likely the issue.
2. Reinstall the Driver
- Right-click on the Realtek adapter (if visible) and select Uninstall device. Make sure to check the box to delete the driver software if prompted.
- After uninstalling, click on Action in the top menu and select Scan for hardware changes. This may automatically reinstall the driver.
- If it doesn’t, you can manually install it.
3. Download the Driver
- Visit the HP support website and enter your laptop model.
- Navigate to the Drivers & Software section and look for the network drivers.
- Download the latest Realtek Wi-Fi driver compatible with your OS.
4. Install the Driver
- Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the prompts to install the driver.
- Restart your computer after installation.
5. Update Windows
- Sometimes, Windows updates can provide necessary drivers. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
6. Network Troubleshooter
- If the adapter is still not working, run the network troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Network Adapter and run the troubleshooter.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
