Hi @TOOSWEET2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Changing your internet provider means your HP printer needs to connect to the new Wi-Fi network. The purple light scanning indicates the printer is searching for available networks. Here are the steps for both touchscreen printers and non-touchscreen printers using the HP app:

For HP Printers with Touchscreen

  1. On the printer control panel:
    • Tap the Wireless or Network icon.
    • Select SettingsWireless Setup Wizard.
  2. The printer will display available Wi-Fi networks.
  3. Choose your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  4. Wait for the printer to connect. The light should turn solid blue when connected.

For HP Printers without a Touchscreen (Using the HP App)

  1. Reset the printer’s network settings:
    • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds (or check your model’s manual).
    • The printer enters setup mode (purple light blinking).
  2. Open the HP App on your phone or PC:
  3. Tap Add Printer → Select your printer from the list.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi:
    • Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
  5. Once connected, the light turns solid blue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
