Hi @DizzyDazzyDoo

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand you’re seeing the error message in Word stating it can’t print due to a problem with the printer setup, even though the printer is connected by both Wi‑Fi and USB. Thank you for sharing this detail—it helps narrow down the situation. Before we move forward, could you let me know:

  • Which HP printer model you’re using?
  • Have you already tried any troubleshooting steps, such as reinstalling the printer driver or checking the printer’s status in the HP App?
  • Does the printer respond when printing a test page directly from its control panel?

This information will help us pinpoint whether the issue is with Word, Windows, or the printer connection itself.

In the meantime, here are a couple of basic checks you can try:

  • Confirm that the printer is set as the default printer in Windows.
  • Open the HP App and check if the printer shows as “Ready.”
  • If connected by USB, ensure the cable is firmly seated and try a different port if available.

Once you share the printer model and any steps already attempted, I’ll guide you with precise actions from HP resources. Would you be able to provide those details?

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
