Hp Laptop 14-cf0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have already tried doing everything. I have tried restarting it, factory reset it, etc. I cannot find the selection to set up the Wifi. It's as if it is no longer non-existent. I have asked support and they keep repeating the same things I have already done to my computer. The only way I am able to get onto the internet now is to connect my laptop to an ethernet cord. There has to be a way to get that program back. Because it just disappeared. I was online, on Amazon and when trying to click something else, BOOM I no longer was connected to the internet. Now I no longer can get connected to the internet without this cord.

Hi

Could we start by testing and checking you do have a WiFi adapter?

getmac

ping 127.0.0.1

If you can use WinKey + R and type cmd.exe getmac

Then in the DOS screen that opens retype getmac and post the results please.

ping will check if it can find an adapter, so check with no ethernet connected.

post the answer please.

Next

ipconfig -all

netsh lan show interfaces

netsh wlan show drivers

netsh wlan show interfaces

and that should generate enough info to suggest a solution.

It says media disconnected

So that suggests a replacement is required.

What I hoped for was something like...

C:\>getmac

48-E2-44-54-66-28   Media disconnected

C:\>ipconfig -all
