Microsoft Windows 11

I keep dropping wi fi at random and have to restart to get back on line, my H.P printer does not do this although it is only 1 metre from my P.C. I have fibre optic which maintains router speeds of 500 and I get wi-fi speeds of 120-150 so pretty strong supply. I have gone through all H.P tests and virtual assistant with no luck any suggestions please.

Not a computer geek so in as plain English as possible

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Wi-Fi adapter driver to the latest version HP has for the Realtek Wi-Fi adapter:

2024.10.228.7     09/14/2023

You're very welcome.

I hope so too, because those Realtek cards are awful.

Hi Paul,

It's been a few days now with out loss of internet ,thankyou

The only thing is , it appears to slow it down a bit, but not a problem as connection was the problem

Many thanks
