Screenshot 2023-03-24 1.37.51 PM.pngScreenshot 2023-03-24 1.37.44 PM.pngScreenshot 2023-03-24 1.37.42 PM.pngHi there, thank you for reading my question.  I connect to the internet via the apartment-supplied access where I live.  I didn't have this problem when I first moved in but a few months after using their connection, another link called "xfinitywifi" has started hijacking my apartment connection.  After connecting through my apartment supplied access, "xfinitywifi" will randomly, frequently and, it seems, aggressively barge in and take over my apartment connection.  I have to bump it off and start over repeatedly until it decides to stop, sometimes over 10 times.  I cannot delete it because when I click on the signal strength icon next to the link, it just opens a tab to sign on to "xfinitywifi" instead of a link management window like all the other links will do when I click on that signal strength icon.  Has anyone else had this problem and/or know what to do to make this stop?  Thank you in advance.

Please try there steps.

Automatically connect to a network

If you have multiple Wi-Fi networks in your area, you can choose to automatically connect to a specific one:

  1. Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
  2. At the bottom right, select the time.
  3. Select Settings .
  4. In the "Network" section, select Wi-Fi and then your network.
  5. Turn on Automatically connect to this network.

Prefer a network

If you have multiple Wi-Fi networks in your area, you can tell your Chromebook to prefer one network over another:

  1. Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
  2. At the bottom right, select the time.
  3. Select Settings .
  4. In the "Network" section, select Wi-Fi and then your network.
  5. Turn on Prefer this network.

Forget a network

Your Chromebook saves network information when you connect to a network. To delete that info:

  1. Sign in to your Chromebook.
  2. At the bottom right, select the time.
  3. Select Settings .
  4. In the "Network" section, select Wi-Fi.
  5. Select Known networks.
  6. Find the network you want to forget, then select More and then Forget.

Connect to a hidden network

Important: When you turn on “Hidden network,” others may be able to identify your device and learn which hidden networks are configured on your device. 

  1. On your Chromebook, at the bottom right, select the time.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to a network.
  3. Select your network again to open “Settings.”
  4. Turn on Hidden network.
    • When you turn on this setting, you’ll be able to find and connect to a hidden network.
