HP 255 G1 Notebook

My PC(HP 255 G1 notebook) is showing red cross on the WiFi icon and I can't connect to any WiFi. The WiFi button on the keyboard is showing red. I installed window 10 home OS to the system recently and it stopped working. I check device manager and I saw in others ; network controller and PCI drives need update. I check the description, here is the details to the two drives needed; VEN_1814&DEV_0890&subsys_08ec103c&rev_00 Ven_1814&dev_0098&subsys_00ec103c&rev_00 Please if you can shear the link with me I will be glad to get my system working agian

Hi:

 

Did you install a different model wifi adapter in your notebook?

 

HP does not use any wifi adapters with that hardware ID.

 

VEN_1814 is Ralink, and the only wifi card they would have used is the RT3290.

 

These would be the wifi and Bluetooth drivers you need for the Ralink wifi card...

Thanks for the drivers. I installed it but didn't work. The network controller is still there at the other divices and one other PCI . nothing happened. I don't know what else to do sir

Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you with that issue.

 

If you google the hardware ID you posted, absolutely nothing shows up.

 

VEN_1814&DEV_0890

 

It doesn't exist.

 

There are many different devices labeled PCI.

 

If the other one you are missing is simply labeled as a PCI Device, you need this driver for it.

 

This package contains the driver that enables the Realtek Card Reader in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The card reader enables users to read from or write to supported removable storage cards, which are typically used in digital cameras, digital music players, and cellular phones.
