I need help finding the wireless network drivers for Pavilion 17-e016dx (Windows 7)

Hey everyone

This laptop has been through [that place] and back. It was given to me as a christmas present in 2013 I think, came with Windows 8, updated to 8.1, and then 10 when they all came along. Then the hard drive broke, so I got an SSD and came across some extra RAM, and put on Linux, which was cool sure, but I want to run things like some games and design software without an emulator crashing all the time. So I came across an old Windows 7 key and loaded it up and remembered that in those days you needed to get all your drivers.

The official product page only shows Windows 8 drivers, however thanks to a kind person on Tom's Hardware I've been able to get some of my missing drivers out of the way - SM Bus, USB, and Ethernet. There's a couple missing, I think one for the card reader, one I'm not sure of, and the network controller aka what I need to get a wireless connection. I don't care a whole lot about the other two but I want that wireless one.

I've been told to look at this thread, where someone got the same system to run fine on W7, but none of the downloads are available anymore and I'm not sure what to do

Hi:

You need this W7 wifi driver...

This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Chipset (installs the smbus and usb 3 controllers...1st file listed on the webpage.  Install and restart the PC.

Graphics:  1st driver listed on the webpage...install and restart the PC.

Hey, thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, whenever I try to run it, I get a command prompt confirming that it is installing then a dialog saying that drivers failed to install, no driver detected.

EDIT : HOLY SMOKES! It said it failed but it's actually working!
