Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is pretty much an update from my old post that I got locked out of. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/HP-Gaming-Pavilion-15-cx0056wm-Wi-Fi-...

Summary: I bought this HP Gaming Laptop from Walmart during their black friday event and it keeps dropping from my wifi. https://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Pavilion-Gaming-Laptop-15-6-Full-HD-Intel-Core-i5-8300H-NVIDIA-GeForce...

This has been happening since day 1 when I bought the laptop (Nov. 23rd). Almost every 5 mintutes when I try to surf the web, watch a video, and even play a videogame the wifi suddenly drops from it.

I tried pretty much everything:

Reset the network adapters

Update the drivers and make sure the power save option is unchecked on the driver's tab.

Uninstall and reinstall the adapters

Update windows

Use a Previous driver

Uninstall Antivirus software (I have Bitdefender), I uninstalled it for a whole week and the laptop still drops from wifi.

Do the Command Prompt reset.

ALL of my drivers are update to date, I checked HP Support Assitant and everything is installed.

Windows 10 is updated, I believe their newest version came out about 2 days ago.

I really think my WIfi card is defected. The reason why I waited a month to respond is to make sure it wasn't a windows update or my antivirus software that is causing my laptop to drop from the wifi. \

The wifi card is an intel wireless-ac 9560, it was preinstalled in the laptop when I bought it from Walmart.

Hi

AND Wal-Mart are awaiting a replacement for you?

Or are they not aware of the issue?

Was it a pre-owned/already used item?

Replace the adapter, for 30 US dollars, fit a replacement external one.

I talked to Walmart and they told me that the Laptop was Brand new and never used, and I can't return it back since it's over the return policy time limit.

I don't mind buying another Wireless card cause I can get one from ebay for like 18 bucks  and I can install myself. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Wireless-AC-9560-NGWG-NV-802-11ac-2x2-Wi-Fi-Bluetooth-5-M-2-CNVio-No-...

I was just seeing if anyone else had a simlar problem like me and found out that it wasn't the wireless card that is causing the problem but something else.

But I got a two questions.

1. Is the Intel-Wireless-AC-9560  even they right wirless card that supports this specfic laptop? This was the card that came and was preinstall in this laptop.

2. If I buy this wireless card brand new from ebay and install myself, does it violate my warrenty with HP?  I mean I spent about $635 on this laptop and I don't want my warrenty to be violated.

Hi

I have never bought from Wal-Mart, but I suspect they speak, at best,  Corporate.

So it is not really a return for store credit, it is a faulty item in need of repair or replacement.

Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB.bat and double click to run.
Post anything non-personal, but relevant please.

@ECHO OFF

PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection"

So by my understanding this Laptop is defected........great. I'm going to try and see if Walmart can still let me return it since you guys are telling me this is defected.

Hi

Well I do differentiate between a WiFi connection to the Router and Internet connection, however...

inSSIDer  and a channel change....
