The latest win 10 update deleted wireless adapter.  Finally got a live agent, Simi reference[edit] who connect to my computer, sent it into reset (which I had already done several times which failed) as did his, but he's gone and I still don't have a wireless adapter and the the current win 10 won't allow me to actually reset to a previous version of windows that worked and had the wireless adapter!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there seems to be an issue with the Wi-Fi.

 

Appreciate you trying the steps. Don't worry, I'm here to help! To better assist you - May I have the exact model name of the computer? Refer to this link for steps to find the product details. (Ensure not to share the serial number, email, phone number, etc.)


While you respond to that, let's try testing the Wi-Fi module -

 

1) Shutdown the computer. 
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears. 
3) Press F2 once. 
4) Go to Component test. 
5) From the list, run the Wireless Module test.
