Welcome to the HP English Community --
Unfortunately, scams and scammers are as common as fleas.
The Internet is rife with thieves, robbers, and other "snakes in the grass".
If you land on a Not-HP website when seeking help, chances are you will be targeted as the next victim.
Scams might include convincing you to let the thieves into your computer so they can take what they like.
Scams can cost you hundreds or possibly thousands of dollars.
The rats might steal your information, plant unwanted or unneeded software on your system, and make your life miserable.
Call your bank - cancel whatever transactions you authorized.
Report the incident to the authorities.

What else?
Change every password associated with any device that the thieves might have touched or accessed.
For example, any password, any file, your calendars, personal date, and any picture the thieves could see or find could be compromised.
Uninstall any software the scammers provided.
Consider that if you let rats into your computer, the infestation might still be a problem -- Use your security software to scan every corner of your Operating System for malware and viruses.
