Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm trying to understand why I get such slow download speeds in my browser. I'm downloading a file of about 310MB, which should take 5 minutes or less, yeah? No. For some reason, my browser wants to download this at 16kb/s, which is nonsense because utorrent will get up to 5MB/s.

I've run a speed checker, and sure enough my browser is getting 1 megabit per second, so... 120kb/s. Since utorrent has shown that my machine can handle 5MB/s, what's wrong with my browser? I even tried Ninja Download Manager thinking it might help, but it's still at 16kb/s.

Any solutions or suggestions would help; I've tried looking around drivers and everything's up to date.

@Danny5357

Download may vary from one site to other sites because we can not control the speed of those other sites . For example all from Youtube but not all of them have same speed.

I'm afraid this doesn't help. At all. I've tested to make sure the sites I'm talking about are not to blame; on different devices, (my phone for instance), the download speed is much, much higher, up at reasonable levels.
So it is NOT just one site to another, it is just the browser of my laptop. I've tested with multiple browsers, and even Firefox has this download speed issue.

I'm no closer to solving this and wish someone else would answer.
