Hello community,
I want to install a new wifi card in my HP Notebook - 15-r262ne. The existing wifi card has 1 antenna wire. Now I need to install a wifi 6 or wifi with 5GHz, so I need to install a second antenna wire.
Anyone can help me how to install the antenna wire, which length of antenna wire can I buy, and if I can install the antenna wire without disseamble the screen(install the wire in any location around the motherboard).
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Ramy:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if you can find the dual antenna kit listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual.
HP Notebook - 15-r262ne - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support
For use in models with a touch screen HP part # 774163-001
There are no specifications available for the antenna wire you need, and generally if you do not install it like it would go from the factory, your wireless and Bluetooth reception may be considerably degraded.
If you employ a non-standard installation (such as laying the antenna wire on the bottom inside case of the notebook), make sure that no metal parts of the antenna transceiver touch anything metal in the notebook, such as the motherboard.
If it is hopeless, you can see if this generic antenna wire kit would work...but it may not be able to fit in the bezel.
