Subject pretty much explains the issue.
My laptop did not come with an LTE module originally. I picked up the XMM 7262 card (which is a supported card per the manuals for this laptop) and installed it. No complaints from the system or any weird BIOS whitelists going on that HP has traditionally employed. Everything 'appears' to work. I've tried both the drivers supplied by HP as well as letting Windows pull them down itself through WU.
I've tried both an AT&T Prepaid SIM as well as a T-Mobile postpaid SIM from my personal phone. Both are confirmed working in other devices. According to Windows it can read them just fine. It shows the correct numbers and SIM ID's respectively and displays the carrier they are associated with. However no matter what I have tried, it always shows No Service. I've tried different APNs including setting up a custom APN, I've tried manually selecting the carrier (which does show an accurate listing of carriers in this area, implying it is getting a signal somehow), etc.. So far nothing I have tried works.
The GPS/GNSS functionality seems to work fine however. But nothing on the cellular/LTE side.
Laptop is fully up to date otherwise. Latest BIOS version, latest public Windows 11 release, all drivers accounted for, etc..
