Pavilion x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I updated  yesterday and now I can't connect to the Internet even though the system is recognizing the wifi network with 4 bars and other devices are working ok on the same network.  I've tried turning off/on, didn't help.  Device manager shows Intel wireless ac-3168 is working ok.  Tried both chrome and edge - no connection.

Windows network diagnostic returns "can't identify problem"

Network adapter diagnostics reports proper configuration but dns server not responding

Any ideas would be welcome.  Thanks

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if updating the wifi driver to the latest version directly from Intel resolves the problem.  The 64 bit driver is the first one on the top left side of the page.

Download Windows® 10 Wi-Fi Drivers for Intel® Wireless Adapters

Thanks for the suggestion - but the laptop doesn't have an Ethernet port, so I've no way to get to the download (I'm using a different machine for this exchange).  I guess I could download onto a usb drive and load it that way.

You're very welcome.

Yes, you will have to download the driver from another PC, copy it to a USB flash drive and use that to install the driver in your PC.
