My laptop has lost its internet entirely. I can’t try anything to get it working because it can’t detect the internet anywhere. All the troubleshooting doesn’t work because it says no internet. I don’t know anything about laptop tech, but I’m hoping someone here can help me.

Hi @chaman6,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Are you trying to connect via Wi‑Fi or Ethernet cable?
  • Do other devices (like your phone or another computer) connect to the same network without issues?

In the meantime, here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Check Wi‑Fi toggle: On many HP laptops, there’s a physical Wi‑Fi button or function key (often F12). Make sure Wi‑Fi is turned on.
  2. Restart your router and laptop: Power off your router for 30 seconds, then restart both the router and your laptop.
  3. Network reset:
    • On Windows, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
    • This will reinstall network adapters and set everything back to default.
  4. Device Manager check:
    • Press Windows + X → choose Device Manager.
    • Expand Network adapters and see if your Wi‑Fi adapter is listed. If it has a yellow warning icon, right‑click and select Update driver.
  5. Try a different network: If possible, connect your laptop to another Wi‑Fi hotspot (like your phone’s mobile hotspot) to see if it detects that network.

I hope this helps.
