I just got Google Fiber at the house, but even with an Ethernet cable, the speed seems limited to 95mbps both up and down. I have Google checking on the issue, but could my HP 2000 notebook be throttling the speed since it's about 5 years old? I don't know what settings to check. Any help appreciated.

I kept searching the knowledge base and it seems this laptop has a card that limits speeds to 100 mbps, even directly wired. That explains a lot. I was thinking about an upgrade anyway....this laptop is five years old. Sorry for the fire drill, but finding things out can be a challenge
