Hi:

Your PC may have a BIOS whitelist that prevents the installation of any other model Wi-Fi card from working other than the one it came with.

The dv6-7xxx notebooks with the Intel processors don't, but I don't know of anyone that has a dv6-7xxx with the AMD processor and chipset that upgraded the Wi-Fi card.

If you are willing to gamble a few bucks, I'd try this one out...if it works, not only will you have Bluetooth, but also dual band AC Wi-Fi.

It works on W7 > W11.

You can find some for sale on eBay.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.
