Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone,

Recently, I have upgraded my ram from 8gb to 16gb. After that I performed reset my pc to make it faster.

since then, I've been experiencing some issues with my Wi-Fi connectivity. Specifically, I'm unable to connect to the Wi-Fi properly as I can only see 2-3 networks available. Even when I manage to connect, it's only for a few times, and most of the time, I receive an error message stating "Can't connect to this network." Additionally, when I do get connected, I notice that only two signal bars are filled, despite being in close proximity to the router. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi connection frequently drops. I've attempted to resolve the problem by updating the driver, but it appears that the most up-to-date drivers are already installed. I've also tried resetting the network settings, but the issue persists. In an effort to troubleshoot, I followed some commands suggested by a YouTuber and experts on the HP Support Community. However, the problem still persists.

Also, I was not able to connect to my Bluetooth devices as well. I can't be able to connect to my wireless earbuds. first, I thought it was my ear bud's problem but when I tried to connect my phone to use phone Link app then I came to understand that there is a problem with my Bluetooth. At first it is getting connected but after that it is getting disconnected like after 2mins.

POV: I have tried most of the methods that are there in YouTube, other experts as well. uninstall and reinstall the drivers etc....

Hi @PraveenP1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the WiFi and Bluetooth on your Victus by HP 16.1 inch gaming laptop. Connectivity problems can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve these issues.

WiFi Issues:

  • Check Airplane Mode: Make sure that Airplane Mode is turned off. When it's on, it can disable all wireless communication, including WiFi.
  • Restart the Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix temporary connectivity glitches.
  • WiFi Toggle: Check if there's a physical WiFi toggle switch on the laptop or a function key (like F2 or F12) that can enable or disable WiFi. Press it to ensure that WiFi is turned on.
  • Network Settings: Navigate to the Network Settings on your laptop and make sure WiFi is enabled and that your network is selected.
  • Forget and Reconnect: If you can see your WiFi network but can't connect, try forgetting the network and then reconnecting by entering the WiFi password again.
  • Update Drivers: Outdated WiFi drivers can cause issues. Visit the HP support website, enter your laptop model, and download the latest WiFi drivers for your system.
  • Router Reset: Sometimes the problem might not be with your laptop but with the router. Try resetting your router by unplugging it for a few seconds and then plugging it back in.

Bluetooth Issues:

  • Bluetooth Toggle: Similar to WiFi, make sure that Bluetooth is turned on either through a physical switch or function key.
  • Bluetooth Settings: Go to your laptop's Bluetooth settings and ensure that it's enabled.
  • Device Visibility: If you're trying to connect to a Bluetooth device, make sure that the device is set to be visible or discoverable.
  • Update Drivers: Just like with WiFi, outdated Bluetooth drivers can cause issues. Visit the HP support website and download the latest Bluetooth drivers for your laptop.
  • Restart Services: Sometimes, restarting the Bluetooth services can help. Type "services.msc" in the Windows search bar, find "Bluetooth Support Service," right-click on it, and select "Restart."
  • Interference: Bluetooth connections can be affected by other electronic devices or physical obstacles. Make sure there's no significant interference or barriers between your laptop and the Bluetooth device.
  • Troubleshoot: On Windows, you can run the built-in Bluetooth troubleshooter by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
