Hello to you all, I have this annoying issue with connecting the HP Chromebook to the Samsung 32" smart monitor wirelessly through WiFi and Bluetooth, I did at one stage have sound on monitor with no picture on screen just dark screen with printed writing saying "play music" I've just recently purchased this Samsung monitor and don't know what's happening or why this is being so difficult for me, also in the Chromebook settings in the Device section there is no " Mirror Built-in" displayed there at all would you be able to tell me why there is no Display or Mirror Built-in section I this model? I feel like I've lost something or I've bought a dud Chromebook from Officeworks so would you be so kind and help this ol fella out PLEASE I'm so eager to get this up and running? Thank you for your assistance in advance!

Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with connecting your HP Chromebook to your Samsung smart monitor wirelessly.
Steps to Troubleshoot and Resolve:
1. Ensure Compatibility:
- Verify that your Samsung smart monitor supports wireless display connections such as Miracast or another casting protocol compatible with Chromebooks.
2. Enable Casting on Chromebook:
- Open the Settings on your Chromebook.
- Navigate to Connected devices and ensure that Bluetooth is turned on.
- Under the Network section, ensure WiFi is enabled and connected to the same network as the monitor.
3. Update Chromebook OS:
- Ensure your Chromebook is up-to-date.
- Go to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for updates.
4. Cast to the Monitor:
- Open the Quick Settings panel on your Chromebook (click the time at the bottom right).
- Look for the Cast option. If you don't see it, click on the gear icon to open Settings.
- Go to Devices and check for Displays or Casting options.
5. Mirror Built-in Display:
- If the "Mirror Built-in" option is not visible, it might be due to a missing or disabled display service.
- Try enabling developer options to see if more display options become available.
- Press Ctrl + Alt + T to open the Crosh shell.
- Type shell and press Enter.
- Type sudo /usr/share/vboot/bin/make_dev_ssd.sh --remove_rootfs_verification and press Enter.
- Follow the instructions to reboot the device.
6. Monitor Settings:
- On your Samsung smart monitor, ensure that the WiFi and Bluetooth are enabled.
- Navigate to the Source menu and select Screen Mirroring or a similar option.
