Laptop Wifi Adaptor keeps disspearing

I have been using this laptop for around 9 months. If my computer is on standby or sleep and I turn the laptop back on. The wifi adaptor dissapears and i am unable to scan for wifi. When i click on network, the only option is Ethernet. When i look at the bottom right hand side and select network the only option is flight mode and there is no option to enable or disable wifi.

I have to restart the computer and the network adaptor works perfectly fine.

What is the reason for this and how do i stop this happening?

• It may be caused because Windows turns off the wi-fi adapter for the Sleep mode but for some reason cannot start it back again after resuming work
