Hi, I tried connecting to literally any network I use at the moment (ethernet and Wi-Fi) and nothing works. Even using Wi-Fi from my own phone couldn't work even if I'm in an area with good Internet. I'm a university student and I need to get this working. Every method I used doesn't work at all (even resetting my network adapter doesn't work). Does anyone have any clue what's going on?

@seraphia_17, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Network Connection Issues on HP Pavilion!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Pavilion Laptop PC 14-dv1000 is experiencing difficulties connecting to either Ethernet or Wi-Fi networks, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
1. Update Network Drivers: Ensure that your network drivers are up to date. You can use the HP Support Assistant to check for updates to your network adapter:
- Open HP Support Assistant on your laptop.
- Go to the "Updates" tab.
- Check for any available updates for your network adapter and install them.
2. Check Network Settings: Sometimes incorrect network settings can prevent you from connecting to networks. Here's how to reset your network settings:
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to Network & Internet.
- Click on Network reset which is usually found at the bottom of the list.
- Follow the instructions to reset your network settings. This will remove and reinstall all network adapters and set other networking components back to their original settings.
3. Disable and Enable Network Adapter: Restarting the network adapter can help resolve connectivity issues:
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Find Network adapters and expand the list.
- Right-click your wireless network adapter and choose Disable device.
- Wait a few seconds, then right-click the adapter again and choose Enable device.
4. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure your Windows 11 operating system is up to date, as updates often fix connectivity issues:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Windows Update.
- Click on Check for updates and install any updates that are available.
5. Run Network Troubleshooter: Windows 11 has a built-in network troubleshooter that can help identify and resolve issues:
- Open Settings.
- Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find Network Adapter and click Run.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
