Have tried all of the troubleshooting steps and more!

HP 17-CN3033CL with RealTec RTL8852BE-VS wireless adapter

When wifi drops and I am on the verge of winning a million dollars in a Texas Hold'Em hand

it is quite annoying!  (Fortunately, it is play money.  Still ...)

No need to recommend modem reboots, driver updates or reinstalling, have the latest Windows updates, etc.

Out of desperation, instead of balancing the laptop on both legs, I balanced it on one leg (on the sofa).

That seemed to reduce the number of wifi dropouts.

My laptop has cooling holes almost the width of the PC toward the display end.

Meaning I believe restricting air flow was affecting the wifi adapter while not increasing the heat buildup

enough to trigger a warning.

So, I ordered & received a laptop cooler that uses a USB port.

This may have solved my problem.

Posting this as a question because there seem to be many experiencing the same problem.

And a lot of them have RealTek wireless adapters.

Would like others to report having the same problem and whether better air flow helps.

Same issue with the 15-fc0093dx I just bought. I use a network that doesn't broadcast SSID (hidden) and it seems to repeatedly connect and disconnect to both the 2.4GHz & 5GHz networks. Looking for a driver update to fix this. It does work fine when the SSID is not hidden but that's not an option.

Update: Just wanted to say that for my 15-fc0093dx I was able to go to the "Previous Version" of the driver section and download sp144636 which is the Jan 17, 2023 (1.0.0.220 Rev.S) update. After installing, the system was still using the newer version when I checked in device manager, so I selected to update driver and manually picked the 12/13/2022 (6001.15.136.0) version (which was installed to the windows driver repository as part of the Jan '23 update). I verified after that the 12/13/22 version was in use and re-tried my scenario of connecting to my hidden SSID network. This time the card remained connected consistently for several hours looking at my router's logs. I'll update further if the issue returns but for now I'm hoping this older driver version solves my issue.
