Hi @Kaustubh06,

Thank you for your reply.

I grasp that you tried reinstalling the wireless driver using the recovery manager,  but the freezing issue remained.  As you stated the drivers are for Windows 8.1 and not Windows 10.    You can get the updated driver from the Pavilion 15-p017tu Notebook Software and Drivers page.

Please let me know if this helped.

Good Luck!

Hi @Kaustubh06,

Thank you for your inquiry.

I understand that since upgrading to Windows 10 you are having a difficulty with your Wi-Fi.  After about 5 minutes of use the connection becomes limited, the wireless option disappears and then  notebook hangs.

All your drivers have been updated except the audio which is pending.

First would you check this setting.

  • Press and hold the Windows button ( lower left corner )
  • Choose Device Manger
  • Click on the network adapter to expand the list
  • Right click on the adapter and choose properties
  • Click the power management tab
  • if "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked please remove it and  press OK

Repeat this procedure for any additional network adapters listed.

If the issue remains  here are two more links I think may help.

I did the solution suggested by you -

"" First would you check this setting.

  • Press and hold the Windows button ( lower left corner )
  • Choose Device Manger
  • Click on the network adapter to expand the list
  • Right click on the adapter and choose properties
  • Click the power management tab
  • if "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked please remove it and  press OK ""

By this my wifi button appeared..

But it didn't solved the freezing problem.

So i tried another solution given by you by reinstalling wireless driver.

I did this by hp recovery manager -> I need Immediate Help -> Drivers and applications reinstall

I reinstalled - 1) Hp Wireless Button Driver For Windows 8

                            2) Mediatek 802.11 Wifi Adapter for Windows 8.1

                            3) Mediatek bluetooth software Driver for windows 8.1

                           4) Realtek Local Area Network ( Lan) Driver

But my problem is still there.

I think my drivers that are available for reinstall are for windows 8.1 not for windows 10 that is why my problem is not solved.

Please see the screenshots attached.

Please tell me from where can I install drivers for windows 10..?

hi, I'm not sure if I am using this forum correctly.

I also have a wifi freezing issue with my hp notebook (hp 350 g2).  but it looks different to the one described above.

connected by wifi I get extremely different ping response times. usually 1-4ms, then outliers of >1000ms.

since this does not reproduce with other notebooks I have access to, it does not look like a usual network phaenomenon.

the freezes are especially annoying, when I open a terminal connection (e.g. putty) and the typing hangs for several seconds.

I tried

(a) to install the latest network drivers

sp66531.exe
sp70891.exe
sp71288.exe

(that's what hp support advised)

(b) to deactivate the energy saving option, described in this thread before

the OS is windows 7 professional 64 bit.

this is a fresh OS install, so the wifi card has never behaved differently.

i would very much appreciate your help.

regards,
