I have been having issues with connecting to wifi until recently(can't find wifi connections even though there is wifi), I am unable to login using my pin. The error code that pops up is 0x8009002d. I looked that up and found results on changing the pin but I can't login using my password either. The prompt that comes up when I use my password is "Your device is offline. Please sign in with the last password used on this device." I have two issues. There are no wifi options available when I click the network button in the bottom right corner although my house has wifi and so do many of my neighbors. I also tried using an ethernet cable plugged into my tower. I know I am using the correct password because I reset it to be sure and immediately tried it over and over, even restarted my computer. If my only option is to completely restart the computer and wipe all files that is okay because I keep a backup harddrive. I really hope someone here has an answer to my complicated issue. Thanks in advance!

Hi
First off, there is the possibility of 2 frequencies, 2.4 & 5.0 Ghz to connect to.
Then the actual name of the WiFi.
Make, Model and OS please.
SKU: if possible by this method
WinKey + R and type
msinfo32
Read Line 9
System SKU: N6K07EA#ABU
Please do not post Serial Numbers.
Next is to use the Command Line Interface (CLI) ....
WinKey + R
and type
cmd.exe
then type
ping 127.0.0.1
C:\>ping 127.0.0.1
Pinging 127.0.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Repl....................
..........................................s TTL=64
Ping statistics for 127.0.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Highlight copy and paste the result please.
DO NOT POST ANYTHING PERSONAL.
You can repeat the above with an ethernet cable plugged in.
"I know I am using the correct password because I reset it to be sure and immediately tried it over and over, even restarted my computer."
The above line is confusing, because to login and change your PASSWORD you would need access to the Router/Modem. So how is that achieved? How many devices do you have?

Omg thank you for such a prompt response and you thankfully sound like you know what you're talking about. I will just have to say you may have to simplify some of your response for me, I would like to say I'm pretty knowledgeable about computers and tech but your response is not really looking like english to me lol. But, I will do my best to provide you with the necessary information to help us solve this.
So just to explain my confusing text that you quoted: I was not able to change the password on the laptop but I looked up how to change it from my cell phone and did it through that. I am honestly just unsure if that was even the same "password" and not just my online login password. Regardless it didn't work on the laptop, it says it's offline.
Besides that I am unable to get the command prompt to work from login screen, maybe I'm just not doing it right. I have the Hp Notebook 15-ay041wm. Not sure what the different wifi frequencies have to do with this issue, it won't pick up any wifi networks anywhere. I will go out and buy a new ethernet cable if you think that that should be connecting it right from the login screen. It's probably 5 or so years old and can't hurt to be replaced.
Thanks and sorry for not being better with laptops, but if you break it down a little I can definitely figure it out. Thanks lil boy blue!

Hi
" looking like english to me lol" Well you live the in the US of A so that is understandable.
So you need to find a way to set up your network adapter.
3 random pictures.

If you can give the IP address of the "cell phone" please.
""Besides that I am unable to get the command prompt to work from login screen,""
You should be able to access the cmd.exe from your desktop either
WinKey + R and a small box appears lower left corner type cmd.exe
START -- WINDOWS SYSTEM -- Command Prompt
and then we can learn many things about your system.
C:\>ipconfig -all
