I was in the bios and I used the power button to turn off my laptop and now it won't turn back on. I've tried multiple restart methods but none have worked. If I hold the power button for a bit the little light on the key turns on but it turns right back off. My laptop is the HP 15.6 inch Windows Laptop Intel Core i3-N305 8GB RAM 256GB SSD

@thandapa2, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding an HP Laptop That Won't Turn On!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP 15.6-inch Windows Laptop isn't turning on after using the power button to shut it down from the BIOS, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the laptop and disconnect any cables, including the power adapter.
- With the power adapter unplugged, press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter and try to turn on the laptop.
Check the Power Source:
- Ensure that the power outlet is functioning properly by trying a different outlet or testing another device.
- Verify that the power adapter is working. If possible, try a different compatible adapter.
Connect an External Monitor:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor to check if there is an issue with the screen.
- If the external monitor displays the laptop's output, the problem may be with your laptop's display.
Recover the BIOS:
- Power off the laptop and connect it to a power source.
- While the laptop is off, press and hold the Windows key and the "B" key.
- While still pressing the Windows + B keys, press the power button for one second, then release the keys.
- If you hear beeping or the HP BIOS Update screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions to recover the BIOS.
Reseat the Memory Modules:
- If you have access to your laptop's memory modules, reseat them properly. Refer to the HP Maintenance and Service Guide for your specific model for instructions on how to access and reseat the memory.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
