Hello All,
I have just done a clean install. Im looking for network driver for internet to use the hp support assistant to download all drivers. I put in my serial number (on hp driver page) and altered my os to win7 etc...some network driver options were still for win10 machines...which drivers do i download to get internet to instal all other drivers...
Alternatively what is the best way to get internet after a fresh install?
Thanks:-)
Jon

Hi, Jon:
If you can connect via ethernet cable, here is the driver for that...
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88501-89000/sp88807.exe
If you can't, or it is inconvenient, there are too many different model wifi adapters HP could have installed in your notebook, so in order for me to give you the right wifi driver, please post the hardware ID for the device you see listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

You're very welcome.
I'm sorry, I gave you the link to a W10 driver...
Here's the W7 driver.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp79001-79500/sp79046.exe
You can find the hardware ID for the wifi card by following the guidance at the link I posted above.
You would want the hardware ID for the device listed in the device manager under the Other Devices category labeled as a Network Controller.
