Envy CH1000
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi guys, I bought a brand new HP Envy CH1000 laptop with Win 11 and WiFi6.  Everything is fine with the laptop except that it won't maintain a wireless internet connection with my existing router.  I sit about 50 feet away from the router with a door in between.  My old HP didn't have any WIFi problem and all my other devices/IoTs continue to work well.  If I sit next to the router, the internet connection is stable.  Is 'distance and barriers (doors)'  a known behavior  specific to WiFi 6 or WIndows 11.  If it is, I may have to get a wireless extender.  Is there any other workaround, where I can downgrade WiFi6 to WiFi 5?  This laptop is less than a month old.  Does HP offer free support anymore?

Thanks for any tips!

Thanks for your response.  But unfortunately it doesn't help.  I tried an extender, but it didn't help either.  Could you please what I need to do to get a stable internet connection?  My current router only transmits in the 2.4 GHz spectrum.  Do I need to get a WiFi 6 router or do I need to get a router that transmits in 5 GHz?  Thanks.

@DR1980,

We suggest purchasing any brand dual-band router ,
