Well, disabling fast start seemed to work at first, but I left it for several more hours tonight and it did the exact same thing again. To confirm, this is what the symptom is:
Once I shut down completely, the issue goes away for a bit. If I just restart, however, it does not. So I think I'll try reinstalling the WiFi adapter's drivers as well and see where we go from there. Will leave fast start disabled for now.

So I am trying to install these drivers, but no matter what I do, I seem to have the same versions show up as installed as what was there prior. For example, I've installed the Bluetooth driver about 10 different times now, I think, and I'm still sitting at the version shown below. Additionally, I just attempted to install the WiFi adapter driver (which says it's version 3.5.xxx) and as you can see, it's still at version 3.0.xxx.
To be clear, here's what the sp150xxx.exe says will be installed:
This is what the SoftPaq says to do for installation:
When I double-click to run it (or specify "Run as Administrator", all that seems to happen is that some files get dumped onto my C: drive at C:\SWSetup\[SoftPaq No.]
I even went to "Update Driver" and selected "Have Disk" because it kept telling me that the latest driver was already installed. When I did this, it FINALLY seemed to do something on the PC (Bluetooth dropped out, came back, same with WiFi when I did that one). The version number of the driver seems not to have changed at all, so I'm still confused. Going to try a reboot and see if that fixes the version number being displayed and/or the issue overall. Strange that I'd have to very explicitly tell the PC which driver to use in this manner - I thought that's what the *.exe was for? At any rate, will update when I know more. Thanks again for all the help, @Paul_Tikkanen and @BeemerBiker!
UPDATE: The reboot did not fix the driver displayed version number. Is it possible that it's truly installed, but not showing the right number? Also, I notice that there are several items listed when I go to "Driver Details" - is it possible that I have several different drivers installed and it keeps defaulting to the wrong one? If so, do I uninstall everything but the right version? And which one shown below is the "right version"? Thanks again in advance!

This is a new PC and under warranty. I would return it along with a note of what you tried.
Your system runs modern standby and your bluetooth is 5.3 the latest. Possibly that MediaTek is not full compliant with modern standby.
I suspect if you disable sleep the problem will go away but then it is nice to close the lid and later open it and have the system instantly turn on. You may want to run the SleepStudy and see if the WIFi or Bluetooth is shown as having a problem. If so, you can list it as one of the reasons to return the laptop. The SleepStudy is run from the administrator command prompt as follows
powercfg.exe /SleepStudy |
If you want to disable sleep you need to do it in two places: The "edit power plan" and also the "Change what the power button does"
This problem showed up as soon as you unboxed your laptop, am i right?
If the problem showed up only after a windows update you "might" be able restore your system to factory.
Go to the below site and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 32gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.

If no cloud restore then consider returning the laptop or replace with the device Paul recommended.

I was hopeful that the driver installation had finally worked, but alas, it does not. I had the event happen again after it had been working for almost 24 hrs!! 😒 At any rate, please see the photo of the sleep study results. I'm not sure how to read them, so perhaps you can see something that stands out? I can't figure out how to attach the xml file, but perhaps that feature isn't supported on this forum. It's quite a large amount of data, so I don't know where to begin looking. It does seem like it'd be in there somewhere!
Also, I saw this command online. Does this tell anything notable about the issue? I don't know if it's trying to use the modern standby feature. The issue definitely seems to be tied to sleep and/or hibernate - specifically longer periods of leaving it to its own devices.
I will likely pursue a return tomorrow (14-day window from the vendor). I've actually tried the system factory reset that you suggested with the 32GB flash drive and all of that. It still didn't work properly, right out of the box. (In fact, the driver upgrade seemed to help quite a bit, but still didn't resolve the issue completely.) I'm growing weary of troubleshooting a brand new computer. Sad, but I guess that's what I get when trying to stick to a budget and jump on a sale? 🤷

Every system I have ever used runs s3 sleep mode. s0 is the modern standby.
I forgot about my ENVY 17-cr1005cl Unlike the 10 desktops systems at my location, that laptop runs s0 modern standby
It has an intel chip
I am no expert on this but if you want to try to salvage your system go into the BIOS and if there is a sleep option, select s3 instead of s0 (modern standby)

This ended up being the fix! Thank you, thank you, @Paul_Tikkanen for suggesting the WiFi card that would work in this model PC. I accidentally purchased the AX201 (got them mixed up in my cart), and I can confirm that that model card DOES NOT work properly - the issue was even worse with that card installed (different issues and worse). I re-read the post and exchanged the AX201 for the recommended AX200, which works like a DREAM! Thank you for all the support!
And a huge thanks to @BeemerBiker as well who helped tremendously with all the non-hardware-replacement routes such as adjusting sleep settings and modern standby, etc. I really appreciate you guys sticking through this with me and trying every angle! I was able to prove out my theory on the cheap and still do it all within my return period thanks to the two of you (and Amazon, of course). Kudos to you guys!

You're very welcome.
Glad the Intel AX200 did the trick for you.
Mine has worked flawlessly since I got the notebook in 2020.
I periodically check the Intel website and install the latest drivers directly from there.
They just released updated ones a couple of weeks ago:
Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows® 10 and Windows 11*
Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® Drivers for Windows® 10 and Windows 11*
