MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi very slow on HP Victus – no driver updates available

I am using an HP Victus laptop with MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) PCIe Adapter.

My current driver details are:

• Driver Version: 3.0.1.1331

• Driver Date: 17-10-2024

Today is 03-01-2026, but HP Support Assistant and Windows Update are not offering any newer driver.

I have a 100 Mbps broadband connection, but my laptop only uses 4–5 Mbps while all other devices get full speed.
This makes it very difficult for me to work, attend online classes, and study.

I also tried to manually install newer MediaTek drivers from Microsoft Update Catalog, but they do not install properly on my HP system.

My questions:

1. Why is HP not providing updated MediaTek MT7921 Wi-Fi drivers?

2. Is this a known issue with HP Victus + MediaTek MT7921?

3. What is the correct and supported driver I should use to fix this slow Wi-Fi problem?

4. Is there a firmware or BIOS update required for this Wi-Fi card?

Please provide a proper fix or an official driver, because the current driver is clearly not working with modern Windows 11 and high-speed internet.
