HP Pavilion x360 Convertible - Model 14-ba020nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,
is it even possible to connect this Pavilion model to the Internet through an Ethernet cable? I need to buy an adapter, since the plug is even missing, but assuming I'll buy it, is the network adapter even able to use the Ethernet? In device manager I don't see anything resembling such a capability, and there is no indication of an Ethernet adapter on the technical description of the only network adapter present, https://ark.intel.com/content/www/it/it/ark/products/94854/intel-dual-band-wireless-ac-3168.html

Typing ipconfig/all does not show anything Ethernet related, and I need to communicate to my organization my MAC address to be authorized on the wired LAN. Their wireless LAN is not an option.

Thanks for the help.

Hi:

The specs for your notebook do not indicate anything about having an ethernet port.

If you would like to have ethernet capability, you can purchase an external USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter, plug it into one of the notebook's USB 3.1 ports, and you should have a gigabit ethernet connection.

Something like this...
