Have a Linksys WUSB6300 WiFi adaptor that was working just fine. Then would drop off at times. Now not working.  The adaptor works fine in another laptop.  When plugged into any USB port the power light does not illuminate.

Checking the device manager and the Network Adaptors it shows connected with a yellow triangle.  Selecting the Properties the POWER MANAGEMENT tab is missing.  Hence there is NOT power available to the adaptor.

Checked the installed WiFi adaptor and it shows the power management tab and everything works just fine. Using it right now.

Have tried numerous things to get the power management tab to appear.  Nothing worked...  HELP!!

You are using EXTERNAL Wifi adapter therefore no tab for it. Only for INTERNAL or integrated wifi adapter has this option.

Regards.

Not correct. Had always had a Power Management tab for this USB WiFi adapter.  Have a similar LinkSys adapter in another laptop (Toshiba) and it has a Power Management tab.

Installed this LinkSys WUSB6300 in a spare laptop (HP) and it shows up with a Power Management tab.

Plug it back into this HP desktop and no power light, no Power Management tab!

There has to be some setting that has changed!  Probably gratis of some Microsoft update!    $#%&@.

Talked to LinkSys tech support and they were no help.

So HELP HELP!
