My step mother network adapter stopped working recently. It says to update drivers but she can't do it because her computer won't let her connect to the internet. I tried to help by downloading network adapters from my computer and installing it her computer but nothing is working. I was hoping if somebody could help me find the right adapter and tell me how to install it correctly.
Thank you.

Hi:
That driver should have worked on multiple operating systems, and all you needed to do was to double click on it and run it.
If you don't see a device listed in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller, then there is something else wrong that I won't be able to help you with.
A wireless card that is missing a driver shows up in the device manager under an Other Devices category labeled as a Network Controller.

Are you sure that PC is running windows vista?
The product specs at the link below state is comes with Windows 7 64 bit.
The wireless driver you need for that specific model notebook is this one...
This package contains the driver installation package for the Ralink Wireless LAN Controllers in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
File name: sp56942.exe
